Deadpool 2

Rated: 7/10
Flippant, funny and wantonly unapologetic about F-words and anatomy talk, Deadpool Ryan Reynolds is here in Take 2 to splatter laughs and blood in equal measure. Yes, he is funny, yes he has his signature pock marks and yes he makes a mockery of serious filmmaking — but then that’s why he is Deadpool, the anti superman who refuses to die even when he is blown to pieces, both emotionally and physically.
Here with an ‘A’ certificate, Deadpool is in rogue mood —making fun of Wolverine, making fun of Canada, his friends Chromo and X-men, his foes and even his own situation. Having lost his girlfriend to a desperado, that too in the midst of super romantic progeny and baby naming talk, Deadpool tries to end his life but just can’t die. So when he falls into the “mutant children being tortured” situation, he becomes a reluctant saviour, though with an expletives-ridden and lots of ifs and buts.
But Deadpool is not meant to be a story or even a film. It is just one of those offsite moments when Marvel Comics want to have fun. It is formulated to be an amalgamation of humour, mockery and a lot of aimless, often disconnected fun — and this one lives up to the role with gay abandon.

Come have a time of your life, be an antihero, make fun of others, be mean and nasty, create a new franchise of motley superheroes and call it X-Force, be a motor mouth, be self-obsessed and yet carry an incorrigible likeability of a total but good-meaning gonner dying of cancer but not dying at all! Yes, it is more of the same gross hero but what the heck! It’s Deadpool and he is here to whirl you in with, well, the same difference as the original film. Potshots, here he comes!
