Makhane ki Kheer enriched with milk and nuts

Makhana Kheer is a delicious dessert made from milk, foxnuts and cardamom. Why compromise with sweets while fasting! So, without any delay let’s check out the recipe. 

 

Ingredients:

1-litre milk 

1/4th cup Makhana

3 tablespoon sugar

2-3 tablespoon mixed nuts (pistachios, cashews and almonds)

1 tablespoon of cardamom powder

 

Method:

Step 1: Take a pan and add 1 litre of milk and let it simmer for 1 ½ to 2 hours.

Step 2: After the milk thickens and becomes half, add foxnuts and mix it well. 

Step 3: Once the makhanas have become soft add 3 tablespoons of sugar and mix it. 

Step 4: Add the almonds, cashews, pistachios and cardamom powder. 

Step 5: Serve hot or cold as per your preference.
