Kareena Kapoor, a diva with marketing mind. Makes most of her pregnancy with book, show and paparazzi

Bravo Mom Kareena

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible! That’s the book she announced on Instagram Live with Karan Johar. There is enough masala in the book, her difficult COVID-time pregnancy, when she almost gave up, her 100 kg-like leg weight, her crazy movie schedules and, of course, her second son Jeh!

Indeed, Kareena is the queen of packaging. She has used her candidness to the optimum for business purposes. She allowed her first-born Taimur to become the toast of the paparazzi unlike other stars who prefer to keep their young ones under wraps.

In her changed role of a wife, mother and daughter-in-law, she transited seamlessly from being a reigning Bollywood diva to a chat show host of 7.1 million following. She talked women issues, saas-bahu encounters in her own home, relationship issues with sister-in-law and how being a mother came under guidance from so many people.
The show, What Women Want, is a runaway success as will be her book on star pregnancy. A million women deliver, but not many make the best out of it by moulding the entire journey and experience into a marketable proposition.

That’s where Kareena Kapoor decorates her diva status into a business mom, which again, not any star from Bollywood has known to have done. Her Insta posts say the following: “This pregnancy was extremely difficult compared to Taimur’s, which was a breeze. I had loved it, enjoyed it and that gave me the courage to do it again. But this was different. I had bouts where I would sit down and think, ‘I don’t think I can do this, don’t think anything is going to be okay,’” she said.

“It was (also) Covid times. With all safety protocols, we managed to do a lot of shoots. It kept me alive, happy in times that were so difficult. There was this constant fear of what is going to happen, what if I get Covid, my child gets it. There was a lot of trauma in the last trimester mentally…,” she added.
