Achievement: Gold medal in Table Tennis
Life Story: Bhavinaben, who hails from Sundhiya, a small village in Gujarat was contracted with Polio when she was barely 12-years-old. However, she did not let her disability hinder her match and she could finally clinch Gold at the Tokyo Paralympics.

Name: Avani Lakhera
Achievement: Gold medal in Shooting
Life Story: Avani Lakhera created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win Gold at the Paralympics. She also made a world record of 249.6 which is also a new Paralympics record.
The 19-year-old hails from Jaipur and was diagnosed with spinal cord injuries in a car accident.

Name: Pramod Bhagat
Achievement: Gold medal in Badminton
Life Story: Pramod Bhagat made a historic win at the Tokyo Paralympics by clinching a Gold medal and adding World No 1 to his achievements. Bhagat contracted Polio when he was barely 4-years-old and chose this sport after watching his neighbours play. Initially, he played against other disabled players before entering the Paralympics and became one of the best para shuttles.

Name: Sumit Antil
Achievement: Gold medal in Javelin
Life story: Sumit Antil won Gold in men’s Javelin throw at the Tokyo Paralympics. His series was 66.95, 68.08, 65.27, 66.71, 68.55 and foul. He was a physically fit body wrestler with no disability before losing his leg in a motorbike accident in 2015. The 23-year-old hails from the Sonepat district in Haryana.

Name: Manish Narwal
Achievement: Gold medal in Shooting
Life Story: Manish Narwal brought the Gold medal for India at the Tokyo Paralympics in P4 Mixed 50m Pistol SH1shooting. He holds a world record in his category. Narwal hails from Ballabhgarh in Haryana who was confronted with an impairment in his right hand.
